Security Officer Training
Whether you are looking to begin a career in the security field or expanding your certification, Raven Security offers training and certification in Basic Security, Armed Security, Oleoresin Capsicum (OC), Concealed Carry (CCW) and much more. Instructors are experienced and certified by the National Rifle Association, Phazzer Electronics, and the City of Colorado Springs.

Basic Security Officer Course
This eight-hour course is approved by the City of Colorado Springs. Individuals must score 75% or greater in order to receive a completion certificate and be eligible to obtain an Unarmed Security Officer license from the City of Colorado Springs. The course covers:
- Nature, role, and duties of the private security officer
- Private security officer professional conduct and ethics
- Principles of communication
- Observation and incident reporting
- Preservation of evidence, investigation and crime scene security
- Federal, State and local laws, codes, and ordinances
- Use of force as it relates to legal powers
- Legal limitations and liability implications
- Interaction and cooperation with local law enforcement
- Emergency response procedures, to include basic principles of first aid
- Oleoresin capsicum (OC), Defensive Tactics and Handcuffing can also be covered for an additional fee.

Armed Security Officer Course
Unarmed Licensed Security Officers are permitted to take the Armed Security Officer course. This sixteen-hour course is approved by the City of Colorado Springs. Individuals must score 75% or greater in order to receive a completion certificate and be eligible to obtain an Armed Security Officer license from the City of Colorado Springs. This course covers:
- Criminal procedure law
- Moral and legal aspects of firearm use
- Use of physical and deadly force
- State and local laws, codes and ordinances relating to weapons and the use of force
- Handgun safety, nomenclature, operation and maintenance
- Emergency procedures
- Weapons handling
- Marksmanship fundamentals
- Range instruction, qualification, and examination
- Annual Recertification
Conductive Energy Weapon (CEW) Course
This six-hour course is approved by the City of Colorado Springs. The course covers:
- Moral and legal aspects of CEW use
- Use of physical force and less lethal force
- State and local laws, codes and ordinances relating to deployment and tactical fundamentals involving CEWs and the use of force
- CEW safety, nomenclature, operation and maintenance
- Emergency response procedures, to include medical needs
- Demonstrate proper CEW handling and firing fundamentals
- Annual Recertification
